I bought a traditional, hickory long bow from this guy. I shot probably a couple thousand shots from it so far. Its 68" tall, 55# and 28" draw. I love it. Anyone else have experience with him? He seems to be strictly an Ebay store. (Look up long bow. it will have a picture of one, fully strung, in the woods. It will say "Handmade Hickory Longbow", then list the stats.)
I was browsing ebay for a bow and saw the same guy, never heard of him either until I was looking for a trad bow. I almost bought a bow from him, but thought twice about it because my gut was saying you just don't know who you're buying from. Then again I also found another guy who built a website and uses it show what kind of custom made bows he makes with videos. The price is really similar to what you likely paid, his website is imperialarchery.com. I also almost purchased a bow from him because he makes custom, but very basic bows as well. Any way I emailed him a question and he responded within 10 minutes answering my question in full. I ultimately settled on a Samick Journey for a slightly higher, but not to much higher price, because of my uncertain living conditions for the next 6 months. I would rather have bought a 1 piece bow though. At least with take down i can take it bowfishing, hunting, and then be able to interchange the limb weights as desired later on. I was wondering if the kparchery bows would be any good though. Thanks for answering a question I wasn't sure if anyone else had checked out.
I have 7 of his bows, from 50 lb to 13 lb. I instruct archery with kids. So far I am very pleased with all of them. they are simple and solid. I think they are a good bow for the buck.
