I have a Samsung 10.1" Tab2 4G through Verizon. It's been great. If you want a 4G tablet look for refurbished ones through your provider to save some cash. Also, google for discount codes to use if you purchase online.
My i pad drives me nuts with my fat fingers and the auto correct spell check feature. Not very easy to to work wth trail cam pics either. But I must say using it with the chromecast on my big screen tv is wonderful get to watch my youtube trailcam videos on the big screen is fun.
Got a Galaxy Note 10.1 for Christmas. Wife has an iPad. Both are great. I have a Galaxy S4, so the Note is synced nicely. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4.
We got an iPad a few years ago for Christmas and I got a Microsoft Surface for $100 at the Microsoft Tech Ed conference last year in New Orleans. If I had a preference I would have a Samsung Galaxy Note because I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the usability and features blows anything Apple out of the water in my opinion.
I mainly want it for surfing the web, watching netflix, and storing all my trail camera pictures. My computer is really old and I don't have enough $ right now for a new computer, so I thought a tablet would be nice. Ideally I would like a tablet that has a full sd card slot, but apparently they're few and far between. I for sure want one with additional memory capability, so the ipad won't really work.
We just got the new Samsung 10.1 and it's pretty amazing. I have an iPhone but elected to go this route in order to get the bigger screen for my money in comparison to the iPad.
