I've been wanting to upgrade my Trek for awhile for a fat bike in hopes of having a more useful bike for my environment. So far I'm leaning for a Surly Moonlander with it's 4.8" tires, I should be able to use it most of the year. It'd sure be better than trying to bike across the lake with the Trek. Also considering Cogburn Bikes. They offer a number of camo versions. Any thoughts or experiences?
Jokes aside, I'd love to have one.. but as Hook pointed out, I doubt I drop the coinage to have one any time soon.
Don't have any experience with them, but they're cool. Guys over on mtbr are always winter riding with them. Sent from Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Apparently there aren't many bikers here. No different than buying a new canoe in my mind. I spent $700-800 on my Trek a decade ago. If I could used one more than 6 month of the year, I'd totally justify it. Shoot, I could get one of these to pull behind it for JR or extra gear
If I lived where there was snow I'd have one for sure. Living in OK my Specialized works just fine. One of these days I hope to up grade to a Yeti or something similar. On a side note 1200$ is cheap in the bike world.
I would love one... I have looked at them in the past, thinking they would help get a little further away from the crowds but I do not have the 1200 right now. Send pics if you get one... I love the attachments available. T
Fitz I don't have one but a friend of mine who lives in Warroad, MN is big into those. He travels to and competes in endurance races and last I heard holds a high ranking.
I have a trek mnt bike but not a fat tired bike, we have a ton of greenway trails and bike paths in this area..
Its kinda funny how some people would think $1200 is reasonable for a new bow but too much for a bike??
