Yep. All my hitlisters were on camera before I had to pull all my cams due to flooding. As long as none of them drowned everything should be good for this fall. I'm just waiting for the water to go back down to put all my cams back out.
That's about it so far. Haven't had the chance to get off the rig in order to check them again since I got these pics. Hopefully something like this shows up again like last year. Lol he needs a buddy to hang out with on my wall. "Live to hunt, Hunt to Live"
I've got three that should be 135"-145" when they shed their velvet. Also got a 200+lb male black bear. There's a 300lb female with 3 cubs in the area also but no pictures yet.
I'm running 4 cameras right now and I checked them this past weekend. I got one buck that has beams just ouside the ears and just starting to grow upwards. He doesn't look like he will be anything huge but a nice 8 or 10 point. Every year I get 20+ different bucks on camera in the summer ranging from small spikes up to nice 8-10 pointers. Biggest being 150-160's. Out of the 4 years that I've been running cams I can honestly say that I have only seen like 3-4 of these bucks in person while hunting. Point is, it really shows how a lot of bucks leave and some new ones show up end of summer going into the bow season. Most of the bigger bucks I get on camera before the bow season are Mid July and August so I'm leaving mine alone until close to end of August if not Sept. 1st. It will be tough to not go out and check them but I think its the best thing.
Mostly just does, fawns, and a few bucks that appear will end up being 6 pointers. I have one buck that will likely be a small 8 pointer but I'm not worried. Since we're on a small property, we have deer that always show up out of no where closer to season, especially once I put the mock scrapes out in early September.
I just put camera out end of June, will not check them until end of july, I missed a nice 8 last year, Had to be the bow's fault. So I had to get a new bow this year. I didn't hear about anyone getting it during gun season.
