Any members on here from West Michigan? I don't really know any hardcore bowhunters from my area (except my brother, but he doesn't count). I am in the Grand Rapids area. Just wondering if there is anyone that wants to do a little shooting or BSing about archery.
Hey there Matt!!!! Yeh I live in Alledale and two of our team mambers live in Standale!! Pasthru and his brother Daddybighorn. We usally try and get togather and shoot for an hour or so at Grand Valley sporting shop in Alledale and then do pizza afterward. We also shoot on Every Wed. night once the snow breaks so you should try and make it.. Walt
Sounds like fun, Walt. Thanks for the invite! I have shot the indoor 3D course at GV sports before. Right now I shoot Friday evenings at Al and Bob's on 28th st.
Born and raised in Grand Haven, but moved to Iowa a few years ago because deer are my life! Grand Haven rocks in the summer - but in the fall - it's pretty tough to beat the farmland of Iowa!
Todd, How could you leave the big bucks of Ottawa County? I agree, Grand Haven is a cool summer town. I've spent my fair share of time there.
That is what keeps me here too, Walt! I have turned down higher paying jobs to stay in this area. I used to say I am a fly fisherman first, bowhunter second...although bowhunting is really closing the gap. The hunting in my area isn't that bad for MI. I'm excited to see where our newly formed QDM co-op takes in the future. I am looking more and more every year into an out of state hunt though. I was very close to hunting Nebraska in early November. Maybe this year!
