Just a tip... others may have different input, but I bought my arrow cut-off saw from Cabela's and I got the slower-RPM version. The advice they give is that if you're going to be cutting carbon, you need the high-speed version... saved about $60 or so and the slow one works absolutely perfect on carbons for me, and I've cut about 200 shafts on mine so far.
Ditto, unless you're cutting 15 year old French Beman shafts, those are the only ones I ever had a problem with on the slower saw.
