My son has started to develop a great interest in building stuff and in particular, tree houses.

Does anyone else think these things are bad A? I told my son that when I have the ability to buy a chunk of property, I will build one (not really me but friends/family who can actually build things). I am going to do it. Now it won't be like the one's I am going to show because I am not rich, but darn it I want one that I can sleep and hang out in....

If you guys have any pictures of tree houses that you have built, use, or have otherwise seen, post them on here if you like.

The show has been on a while. It's called treehouse masters on animal planet. They do some wild stuff. I believe some pictured were his.

Those look pretty awesome. Mine would look like a pallet nailed to a tree, much like my early deer stands.

Something about them seems almost magical. I am telling you, having one to sleep in and hang out in would be terrific!

Yes, absolutely I'm on the same page. I've been watching the TV show for weeks and years ago I told my wife that when we finally move into our "forever" home I want to build a bad *** tree house for our kids.

I used to be a Mt Dew guy, but soda has fallen out of favor with my guts. Hence, STRONG coffee T, strong coffee. :)

    Those are cool.

Yeah. Brings back memories as a kid building lots of tree forts. I remember the tree house at Disney World when it first opened.

It's crazy that people can build things like this.

Although, I wouldnt spend that much money on one myself. Trees eventually die... Or storms could knock them down (wonder if they have insurance on tree houses like that?) But I am sure the people who build them think of these things before starting construction!

I was looking at some of the mounting brackets they have to do such a thing. There are some sweet designs out there. :tu:

Brackets like these that are super strong, last forever and don't harm the tree nearly as much.
