I haven't ever tried one, and I can't imagine myslef ever wanting to.

I just don't see how those things can be comfortable, at all. I would rather find a tree to put a stand in....if nothing else, I would sit on the ground.

There is no way I could sit in that diaper on a rope for 4 hours at a time.

Nope me neither... It looks like it could cut off circulation to the most important part of the body.
    The...

iv got to agree. no way it could be comfortable.

now i actually have an idea on a really comfortable and portable stand idea. it would be for those who like to hunt from the ground, but get tird of sitting onn the ground. i just need to make a prototype, and watch the millions roll in lol

All of you are missing out. These things are the greatest way to hunt. I had my doubts too, but after trying one for this season I am hooked. I have trimmed some of the straps off of mine and I can fit it and 12 strap on steps into my fanny pack. I also have a tree seat that I can use as a platform to stand on. I have been able to hunt places that I could not leave a stand or were difficult to get a climber because the trees are not straight. Plus it is a lot more comfortable than one might think.

I practiced shooting from it a bit to get used to it and away I went. I shot two deer from it this year as well.

I never figured out what the point of that thing is? I mean how the hell do you draw back without swinging around?

I am telling you this thing is great. I have taken 25 whitetails with a bow in the past 5 years and most from a stand but I will surely be using this more than anything. I can sit ALL day in my tree saddle with out a break, more than we can say for any other stand with the same level of mobility.

In fact, if we have a get together this year I will bring mine and let anyone try it. Or if you live near me or where I hunt I would be willing to meet you and let you try it.

With out a doubt any hunter that uses this piece of equipment will become a more mobile hunter, period.

I read 23 of the reviews from customers on the cabelas web and all 23 liked it. Most of the time if a product sucks they will let you know. They all pretty much say what madhunter says. Practice with it, it will be more comfortable in the long run than a small portable stand even for big guys like myself, and once they tried it that's all they use.

I've thought about it over the weekend and I think I will save up to get one. Heck, I'll try it and take it back if I do not like it.

Actually it has been around for a few years.

As for cutting circulation, it is sort of like a johnny jumper for kids ( the thing you put a toddler in that hangs from a doorway. Your ass fits in it like a sling and you are not held by straps around your legs.

For more info go to http://www.trophylineusa.com/

Not only is it comfortable, but is light and with one of these you can have multiple trees setup and not have to leave stands out to be stolen.
