Just curious, I have learned over the years that a slow and true arrow is much more effective than a fast eratic one.

    Interested in hearing some experiences

I experienced it a couple years ago, but not from the normal reasons... I only shoot 67 lbs, and can easily handle that (I know, I know... EVERYONE says they can easily handle their bow's weight even when they have to point it to the sky as they struggle to get it back... :) You'll just have to search for my Day 90 P90X pics in the off-season forum to know that I can easily handle it ;) )

Anyway... couple years ago I'd injured my shoulder lifting and hadn't realized the extent of my injury. It was late season January, and I'm sitting 25' up in freezing temps and decided I'd loosen the shoulder up by drawing a few times. One problem: I couldn't draw ONCE. I'm sure the temps had a LITTLE to do with it, but it was 99% my injury, and I just couldn't muster it back.

Got down and left before I saw anything to save myself the heartache. Took a few months to get the shoulder back in shape, but she finally came back in line. I was SO scared my bowhunting career was in jeopardy... wow. NEVER want to experience that feeling again.

Dude... That's a pretty serious signature line for only making 15 posts.

In terms of completeness, you've got all your bases covered:
    • There's a place for all of Gods creatures...right next to the potatoes and gravy! - I like this one. An oldie, but a goodie.
    • Vegetarian-(Old indian word for BAD hunter)! - I knew some indians, and they used to say that all the time. Very solid addition to the signature line!
    • Give Em The Shaft! - Sexual innuendo - Check!
    • Double Lung Em! - True...
    • PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals: Animals... Delicious indeed!
    • Bow Type: Check!
    • Draw Weight: Check!
    • Draw Length: Check!
    • Rest Type: Check!
    • Release Brand: Check!
    • Stabilizer Type: Check!
    • Broadhead (with commentary): He LOVES those RAGE broadheads, so they must be good!
    • Who needs a blood trail when you watch em fall!!!! - Truer words have never been spoken
All in all, I'd give this man's signature line high marks for creativity, informational content and overall awesomeness.

Slow and true works well from high, lofty, ambush positions. Drop yourself to the ground and see how well slow and true works. Do it in open country. I'll take fast and true any day of the week!

This was the first year I thought that. I bought a Mathews Monster XLR8. With the 5" brace height I new it was going to be touchy. Your forms gets a little off and you are screwed. The last 2 months I have been shooting lights out and my convidence with this bow is through the roof out to about 50 yrds. I previously shot a Switchback which all you had to do with it was pull it back put the pin where you want it and you hit that spot. I got caught up in the speed game. For about a month I wanted sell it and get a different bow. Its all good now.

When I was younger, I thought I had to pull 70#. But injuries, arthiritis and old age made me wiser. 60# is easier to draw and easier to aim. Next year, I may shoot 50-55#. There have been plenty of deer killed by women and kids that were lucky if they could pull 40#.
