Hey, just because Scott is one of the only ones who knows exactly where i hunt, doesnt mean he's going to sell out :D

Rob, dont get the 550, go for a Cuddeback Capture

(and i concur about the Moultrie's, mine broke for no reason )

I've not had any issues with my I40 or any of the D40's... Also I'm really liking the Remington Ghost for $99.00.

Dan maybe you should hang the camera before you get sticky bear bait all over your hands. :D

Well, I have never used my Moultries over bear baits, as I don't have cages for them. I have only used the Cuddebacks, which I have cages for. I knew I ran the risk that a bear would eat them when they're out for deer up here, but I really didn't care too much.

My issue with the I40 is the little lens that moves when it takes daytime pics.....its loud. Plus, I have had more deer looking at the camera when their pics were taken with these than any other camera I have owned.

I'm pretty much done with cameras anyways. I don't use them for bear hunting here anymore and I'll just trust that there are mature deer where I hunt and let my eyes see them for the first time.

Just leave a note for them...

"Eat my camera and I will track you down and kill you.... eh."

The bear would be sure to tuck tail and run :D

I just had one of my Moultrie I40's stolen a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe people are so inconsiderate of others personal property. It's probably someone who doesn't even care about using it.

I'm in the process of tracking them down and I'm sure some of them will be killed in the next few weeks. :D 16-18,000# of bait at 20-24 stations should about do it! ;)

Does anyone actually leave them without checking them as long as they say they are going to? If so you're stronger than I am. I always jump ship and check them 3-4-5-9 days sooner than I planned

I recently purchased a Bushnell 5.0 Trophy Cam and will put it out this weekend. Hopefully I will get some picks of a bachelor group I have seen a couple times around my hunting area.

I've got 2 Capture IR's and a Capture out. The flash model definately takes better pics, but I'm seeing the deer frequent the area with the flash cam less and less. I moved it and got a bunch of good pics and then that site too got less activity.

The IR's I haven't had any issues with. The pics aren't as clear, but they work fine.

    I'm addicted

I usually go out once a week and check them. This last time I went 2 weeks. I'll pull the cards tomorrow. On public land I don't leave them in one spot too long maybe a few days.

Ive gotten better this year. I usually leave them at least a week (Sunday-Sunday) before i check them, unless its a unique spot or i know my batteries are dying.

This is one area where I'm jealous of some of you guys.

I could put a trail cam out where I hunt but the chance of it not getting ripped off are slim to none. If by some strange chance it didn't get ripped off and it caught some pictures of some good bucks.. I wouldn't share them. It's one thing for the hunters out there to say they've seen good bucks, it's another to post actual photos.

There are no more deer out there anyhow. :D

I generally go once a week sometimes a little longer... It's more exciting when you get to click through 6000 pics looking for some good ones :D
