Does anyone shoot a blow gun for fun? Ive been shooting my cold steel one for awhile and i got bored with just the target darts so i thought i would make a hunting dart for say squirrels when ever i might see one.

I used just a dowel rod, duck tape and and x-acto blade for the front of it and some super glue.
Here are a few pictures of the finished dart. It was a pretty quick make now i just need to test it out.

I've been looking at getting one. Is it accurate? Does it have enough power to take small game?

Yeah its powerfully and accurate i can easy put a nice group at like 15 yads and you can easily take small game with it. Just need a good dart for it. Thats why i made one with a blade on it. Ill try and post a video of me shooting it in my room just messing around.

No but I have always wanted to get one. Do you have a link of the one you have? Curious what one it is.

We had a kid at the G2G last year shooting one on the range after all the events were over and man was he a good shot. I never have but looks like it would be cool to try.

No problem man. I got mine off of Amazon pretty cheap. I found a video on YouTube as well on how to make your own cone to customize your darts. That's how I mad this one.

I have most if the darts they sell since they came with the blow gun and they are just pointy darts is all. I'd rather have an actual blade that with cause it to bleed out. Now you could use one say on a head shot and probably be fine but I don't want to risk it. I want the animal to expire as quickly as possible

Good answer. Even with small game you show ethics and want the most humane kill possible.

We used to tape two bic pens together then get these

    and these

You cut the q-tip in half and the blunt end of the straight pin will press perfectly in the plastic shaft. practice with a standard dart board then peg your friends in the back of the neck LOL.
