I don't know why, but I just can't motivate myself to shoot this year. I haven't shot since the BH.Com GTG, and before that I don't think I've shot since a 3D shoot in April. In years past, this time of year I'm usually shooting 500+ arrows a week, and in my prime for 3D season. I had myself convinced about a month ago that I was going to prepare for our state field archery event (in about 2 weeks), but now I don't even want to think about it. I think I'll pull the hunting rig out in the next week or so and not even touch the target bow until indoor season starts.

Anyone else just lose motivation? I bet it's been 10 years since I was this unmotivated to shoot.......not sure what it is.

On a much brighter note, I'm really starting to get anxious for this upcoming bowseason. I know there are 2 new stands sitting at my house right now, and I'll be heading out to do some scouting this weekend, I've got another 100 acre patch of ground to check out. I'm pretty stoked to get out there this year and sit in a tree. Just seem to have lost focus on the target archery side I guess.

I started shooting about month ago a couple times per week. I only take about 20-25 shots per session. I really focus on quality shots rather than quanity.

Guilty. But then again, its the same thing every year. I usually start shooting in 3 weeks, right after my second group of bear hunters leaves. Its just a time issue here at camp.

I need a new Whisker Biscuit, but I'm pinching pennies to get the money together for the wifes school. I don't want to shoot much right now and risk wearing it out more than it already is.

The pace is picking up for me and my shooting. Will begin shooting from elevation this week and broadheads next week. Time to take off the kids gloves and prepare to kill!

I haven't shot a legitimate amount of arrows since the GTG. However, I did just move into my new place a few days ago and once I get the honey-do list finished and get settled in, I'll finally be able to start shooting in my backyard. Then I'll start gearing up for the season.

I've got two months and I know how to shoot my bow, I'm not worried.

I have been shooting a lot but mostly for tuning/setup purposes. I am almost done with all that except final checks in early Sept. I am actually going to start shooting a bit less, more quality practice without the volume.

I don't have much desire to shoot right now. I hope that changes soon.

I do not enjoy shooting in 100 degree heat.

I haven't shot since turkey season ended.

    I'll start shooting around mid-September.

I've never been real motivated to shoot my compound.

I do enjoy shooting my trad bows when things are going right. I'm busting out of my slump with them, so I've been more eager to shoot them. I just been busy so its only a few shots here & there.

I am shooting 4 or 5 nights a week. Target setup's out the door for now. I have been alternating between the Air Raid and the 101st both setup to hunt this year. Tomorrow night we are having a "mini" shoot at Rob's. 4 guys, wings, and Rob's range....sounds like a good Thursday night to me. I'm looking forward to smacking his new goat around.
