Told my wife we needed to get the houses up sunday and as we were carrying them out, 2 showed up and waited for us to get them up.

In one day, we had 5 show up.

We added a couple more houses this year and hopefully the offspring will live and stay around. (alot died from the heat last year)

    Good thing we didn't wait.:)

My next door neighbor did when I was a kid. Shot many of those martins as a kid with my bb gun until my dad saw me one day. :)

    Could you hit them flying?

No. But they did land from time to time. I thought the neighbor put up those houses and feeders for shooting pleasure. I was wrong lol.

Ok, apparently no one else has martin houses. :D

I think the birds that showed up were just scouts because I think they left today.

I did have a friend that shot black birds with a bb gun while flying when he was a kid. He later became a sniper. There was a trick to it.
