Anyone else enjoying the World Cup?

Well ****.. I guess the US needs to draw/win. Can't see Portugal beating Ghana.

 

The US can still lose and advance, they just have to match Ghana's goals and not lose by more than 1

meaning the US can lose 2-1 and still advance if Ghana wins 1-0

 

I know they would never say it publicly, but I'm wondering if there will not be a gentlemen's agreement between Germany and the US for a draw. A draw and they both advance.

What a Conspiracy Theory... (albeit would benefit both). You never know... anything is possible!

 

Germany would probably love this. They would win the group with us in 2nd.

We played Germany very tough here recently. The physicality of the US is top notch. It's very much a working team. However, the Germans are the team to beat this world cup.

My money is still on the Netherlands though.

 

There's no doubt the coach has the right connections to do that. Even if they dont agree and still tie, there will be talk about a "deal". So they might as well make the deal and advance.

I can't watch it till tonight unfortunately. I will be removing myself from Internet so I can enjoy the game and find out results after watching it. It's gonna be a long day. I will throat punch anyone who tries to ruin it for me.

I will be streaming the game as long as my work has not blocked the site. If it is blocked, I think it is pretty clear that my company is anti-America.

 

It is going to be very difficult but I want to watch it with full anticipation of the outcome. Nothing beats the adrenaline rush I get of watching a team I support fighting to get into the next round!

 

We played trivia Monday night and were awarded the tie breaker for third place based solely on our team name "Hitler Sucks at Soccer"...
