I got drawn for shotgun season on a hard to get drawn 15k acre tract Hopefully will motivate me to get out a bit more on the same site early season using shotgum as the back up.
I put in for Colorado. It's a long shot, don't believe I have enough pts. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I was supposed to hunt Kansas in archery, but had to put it off another year I have two points so should be a guarantee for next year. I got invited to Iowa for 2nd gun season tho, not much of a gun hunter but I’m pretty excited not gonna lie.
I believe he has enough points to draw and applied, but the drawing hasn't taken place yet. I'm not planning on hunting whitetails outside of IL this year so no exciting drawings for me. I have a hard enough time killing them at home, I don't need to travel somewhere just to eat tag soup there too.
I have been building points in WY for Antelope and Elk for a few years now. Didn't apply this year, too many other nonhunting trips planned and I will be needing to buy a newer vehicle soon. Hoping to head there for at least one of those species next year.
I have 4 for elk and 3 for antelope. Will be buying another of each when the point buying season opens this summer.
I lucked out and drew a Nevada Pronghorn tag in a great group of units. The only NR archery tag for archery season.
Oh yeah! Any day now. I got a couple buddies that put in this year, hopefully one of use gets something. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Looks like my Wyoming antelope hunt is getting pushed off a year or two. With populations being way down they cut back tag allocations for the units we hunt, and now we don't have enough points to draw. So we'll have to build up a few points and then try again in a few years when the population bounces back. I'm not all that disappointed - I almost felt bad about trying to kill one of the few survivors anyways. So now I may try and sneak in an early season whitetail hunt in an OTC state - maybe KY, MO or NE. Time to start looking at options and making plans!
