Anyone cooking with cast iron?

    I'm a huge cast iron fan for cooking! When camping its all I use. There's bad and good cast iron though. Certain numbers are better then others. Cast iron distributes heat awesome and it stays hot much longer then anything else. I'm guessing the thickness of the pan and the type of metal are the reasons. To me food tastes much better cooked in cast iron. Storing and cleaning you're cast iron goes a long ways. After washing my cast iron pans I'll dump a tad bit of new grease in the pan and take a paper towel and wipe the inside of the pan. No rusting of the pan then and it helps with sticking issues the next time you cook with it.
