Why would you start a thread to talk about someone you are sick of hearing about?

I don't get all the hate for a kid that works his ass off to be the best player he can be. He might not become a great NFL player, but it won't be because he lacks the desire.

Dude could be argued to be the best college QB of all time, if not the greatest player of all time period.

So why are we surprised people are following his progress intently at the next level?

Same with Tiger, best golfer ever to step on grass in his prime, so of course media is following him waiting for a comeback that probably will never happen....Golf and golf fans could REALLY use a rejuvenated Tiger strolling the greens on Sunday afternoons.

He's done nothing to draw more attention to himself. He doesn't make comments.

Yes, if his name isn't on his jersey he doesn't get drafted as high. What kind of comment is that anyway? Heart counts. Or at least that's what Elway said.

Id bet my left testicle that he's starting by game ten.

    Here's my take.
To the people that are sick of the media attention, it ain't his fault. There's guys that look for it at every turn and there's guys that don't. I don't think he does. And when he has, it's been for something admirable. The news outlets just get on a story and pound it.

Which leads to the next point. The story is that just what you guys are complaining about. He might get a go at being an NFL QB sooner than most because of the media attenion and media driven fan creating. This kid's had a camera in his face since HS, heck I remember the peice on his college decision and how he was raised. I couldn't help but root for the kid.

BUT......media attention.....softy's like me.......haters like some of you.....DOESN'T FRIGGING MATTER........

It's the NFL. It's the NFL. It's the NFL. Doesn't matter who you are, where you're from or what you believe in, if you don't get results, you're done. We aren't there in practice. Don't you think that if the coach wants to win, he's gonna go with the QB that he feels gives him that shot? It's kinda his job.

Again, I don't care either way...he did not go to Alabama and he is not a Falcon. Heart does count, if you have the skill set to match it.

Rudy had heart, did not get him drafted in the 1st round though...

The drafted too high thing only goes so far with me too.

That'd be like you getting a job that pays more than you're worth or able to live up to. Sooner or later, you're gonna get fired if you don't do what they are paying you to.

    I don't understand that arguement.

You are comparing what could be argued the best college football player of all time with the worst...all because they had a common factor of trying hard.

Denver better spend a ton of money on their Defense and running game.

That's pretty much my take on it. I find it funny that the general public/football fans are all of the sudden experts on the mechanics of a QB in the NFL (or lack of). Everyone gets wrapped up in the "analysts" opinions. I have no dog in this fight at all. I don't like or dislike Tebow. But to say he will never have a good NFL career is a bit premature IMO. To say his mechanics wont improve is also premature. Even if they don't whos to say his desire or intangibles won't let him have success? You simply can't say one way or the other. It has to play out. Maybe he will.... maybe he won't. But there is no way in heck to make that determination before he has a chance.

I was referring to a comment earlier in the thread where Elway said tebow had heart and that is what counts...so therefore I said Rudy had heart but that does not make him a 1st round pick. I guess I should have said heart without the skill set gets you fired in the NFL...

All Tim has done is won every where he has been, he will win in Denver also when he gets his chance.

I heard a great line from Mike Utley a former lion OL who broke his neck.
"If you choose friends who are champions, you'll become a champion"
Who here would not want a guy like Tim Tebow as a friend?
