My dog literally ate my notebook… the one I keep track of my reloading with. I have cheat-sheets for all my loads on the wall by my bench but the notebook had the only copy’s of what I’ve got on hand. All my other larger calibers and my special 223 loads are in ammo boxes so I know what I’ve got there but I did a bunch of 55gr & 62gr plinking/range ammo lately and just tossed them into buckets. I’ve got 3-1/2 buckets of 55gr and 2 of 62gr and I reallllllllly don’t want to count 5 gallons of ammo…
No clue. But you could get a rough estimate by counting approximately one quarter of the way down and then multiply. Or do it by weight. How much does 10 rounds or 20 rounds weigh then see what the loaded bucket weighs. Idk just spit balling after a few beers and a late night by the fire. Good luck. Pro tip. Store your notebook on a higher shelf. Lol. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Send them to me and I'll count them as I load them into magazines and shoot them for you. Glad to be of help!
100% this^^^ it's how we "count" stuff all the time. Weigh an empty bucket, then weigh a full bucket and subtract the weight of the empty bucket; then divide that by the weight of a single round. Shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes. If you have accurate scales you should be within 2 rounds minimum..
Yea I understand tare weight, etc, but my scale tops out at 500 grams, I was hoping I could avoid giving the Amazon any more of my money.
You would be surprised how much difference there is in cases between two manufacturers. Either way it doesn’t matter now, I went to Lowe’s and found an illegal in the parking lot who was looking for work and he counted them for $7.
