Whats it like, considering a career change, demographics, crime, etc etc, will be me and the wife, and dog. No kids. Parts of town to live in, parts to avoid, rent prices.

I live just north of LR in Cabot. I don't go to LR without conceal carrying... I hate it down there myself, but I grew up out in the country where we left keys in our trucks and the house unlocked. LR/NLR has made a couple of list for worst places to live the past couple years because of violence. If you did move towards LR, I would strongly suggest commuting from one of the smaller towns. Lot of good smaller towns around LR And also, folks around this area can't drive. Lot of wrecks. I think it is ranked for one of the worst in wrecks also. Live at Full Draw
