To each his own. I will pay for an experience that I couldn't provide for myself and take away what I can from it.
It really is cool. First time I went it was at the Boston Aquarium for a Planet Earth type movie. It was pretty awesome. There was some scenes where the 3d was so realistic it gives you chills. Wasn't the best movie but it was a cool experience. I'd love to see more movies like that but all the IMAX's are kinda far away.
So say I have no idea what the hobbit is, could I read the book and know what's going on or do I have to read some other books before this one?
Is it out in Cliff notes yet? Oh hell, it doesn't matter... I don't care. I don't need Hobits. I did read a book yesterday. I started it in the morning but with interuptions and lunch and dinneer and all... I finally finished about 1:45 this morning. I paid for it all day until I had a couple naps. When I finished I could hardly read the words my eyes were so blurry. Good Vietnam book buy a chopper pilot. No hobbits.... just life.
It is a 300 page book by Tolkien, the same author as Lord of the Rings. I guess you could call it a prequel to LOTR, so no, you do not have read other books before this one.
