    Hi Fella's and ladies,
I was wondering if anybody on here has hunted this Unit, all my previous experience has been concentrated in Unit 45 We'll be Bowhunting the opening week of the Elk and Mule Deer season 2013, scouting for the 3 days prior to the opening day, any info would be much appreciated and greatly accepted

    Dave

Gets busy near Walden with the easy access, and Sand Creek sees some pressure. Packed in and hunted the Medicine bow range years ago.

We saw more Moose then Elk, two out of three of us killed mule deer bucks. It wasnt the greatest hunt...but far from the worst either.

Thanks Fella, any info is good info, I may be getting a Mule Deer tag too, just to widen my chances.

    Dave,
Change of scenery this time, huh?
I can't offer any advice - but opening week sounds like fun for a change!

I sure hope to get back to 45 again - but not sure schedule this year will allow for the typical last week of season. Kind of eyeing earlier in Sept if it works out.

    Good Luck! Keep me posted...

Hey Matt, 2013 is fishing in fresh waters for me, but I'm back with the gang in 2014 for Elk Camp No Name ;) and looking forward to seeing you all.

I'm travelling to Unit6 with 3-4 Brits (I hope to catch up with Will while out there) and we're doing it all DIY, researching the new hunting ground (google earth, forums and topo sites) and going in 3 days prior, to get scouting and locating before the opening day, only problem is, there are supposed to be quite a few Bears in the area :(

keep in touch Matt, be great to hear how you get on Buddy!!
