IMG_2083.JPG This is a pic of the X-ray of my left foot from yesterday.

Not that it matters that much at this point but do you see a complete fracture or an incomplete fracture?

But did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night? :)

That's what I was thinking. They didn't say and I forgot to ask. Like I said it doesn't really make any difference. I'm just curious.

Complete fracture. Looks a lot like the fracture of my middle finger several years ago. Was canoeing, got on a rope swing and as I was about to let go a kid popped up out of the water. Had to hang on, started spinning and rope wrapped around my finger, when I fibally let go it spun it like top.

Spiral fracture is what they dubbed it, had to be pinned rather than buddy taped.

Even with the fracture, it still looks better than anyone's feet in my family.

    Okay....... the story.......

So, I hunted behind my house Saturday morning. It was pretty cold and I dressed for it, but I didn't dress for the wind chill. I got down and went to the house around 10:00 am after not seeing anything. I was pretty chilled and hadn't shaved yet, so I got in the shower, soaked and warmed up and reached for my razor. It wasn't there. I remembered I'd left it on my vanity. So, being a typical guy, I walked across the tile floor to the vanity, dripping water all the way, grabbed the razor and walked back and finished my shower.

I dried off and went to put my underwear on. Right foot through. Fine. Left foot through.... not fine. The waistband caught in my toes and I started to lose my balance. Of course, I did what I always do. I just hopped to the right a little, and here's where everything went wrong. When I hopped to the right I hit the water I'd dripped earlier. My right foot slid and instinct took over. My right leg shot down to catch my weight while my arms instinctively shot up for balance. Unfortunately, I didn't let go of the waistband of my underwear, which was still caught in my toes.

Yes, I literally broke my foot with the waistband of my underwear. I ended up hitting the tile floor hard, but the fall had nothing to do with the fracture.

Folks, Hanes puts some OUTSTANDING waistbands on their underwear, let me tell you.:tu:

As for the game plan, All I have to do is wear something called a "hard soled shoe" for six weeks. Much better than a boot or a cast. With it on I can walk almost normally and there's no pain. It just keeps the foot from flexing.

Feel free to laugh, because I sure think it's funny.

Yea bones breaks in foot are difficult to fix, very seldom casts or pins seems you just gotta let em heal on their own, I believ without video I would score that as a 9 1/2 !!!

Hope you have a speedy recovery! Tile floors + water do not mix... Slipped in a bathroom in Mexico after getting out of the pool. Slipped in the stall, busted my head open, and woke up in a pool of my own blood! There has to be some grip surfaces that go on tile near water!
