I love waterfowl hunting. It's completely different hunting with a bunch of guys, instead of in a tree alone. Even though I do love sitting in my tree. The only problem is it cuts into deer season. Not enough time to do both. Unless I get a nice buck early.

Tried a different spot this morning, not many birds. Ended up with a hen Mallard. Good day though!

Leaving for MN in 3 weeks... Can't wait. Really can't wait for Dec. when it really gets good down here.

Had a heck of a hunt this Saturday. My first time water hunting/duck hunting in 6 years.

Shot 6 specks which is not common for MN.

2/3 of my hunt the other day. I shot a blue wing teal and a mallard in addition to these.

How's the hunting going guys? I've been killing a few up here, seems like it's heating up a little in some spots.

Not sure if I will get the opportunity to go out, I've been really focusing on deer hunting. Hopefully I get a chance though.

Our opener is Nov 28th and I'm ready to hunt some more ducks NOW!! My ND trip always only gets me warmed up and then I have this long wait till I get to hunt again.

Our first split ends today. I had work and other things to take care of but managed to get out yesterday. Shot one blue wing teal and saw a bunch of woodies and blacks. (Can't shoot blacks during the first week split).

I would love to do some waterfowling, but I eat what I kill, and I'd rather eat dog than duck. Bacon wrapped backstrap on the otherhand, wooowee

    PF Chang duck doesn't count:lol:
Duck prepared properly is delicious. On my recent ND trip in order to stay under our possession limits we ate duck almost every night. We had duck pizza, duck tacos, duck chilli, duck spaghetti, duck burgers, smoked duck...you get the idea. One of my favorite parts of the trip!

Duck is probably one of my favorite meats next to venison. I'll eat any of em. Sea ducks, mergansers, you name it. I don't care much for the farm raised ones for whatever reason though. Definitely out of the question at a restaurant.

Duck is fantastic! You absolutely have to cook it right thought. IF you cook it well done, unless your slow cooking it, it's probably not gonna taste good. I like it medium to medium rare. Now you've done it, I'm gonna have to dig out some mallard for lunch today! :woot:
