Too damn cold to do anything and enjoy it. Loaded the snowmobile with gear and sat in the nasty, cold, mud flats yesterday in my layout and decoyed a few geese only to somehow screw up the shot. Irritated would be an understatement. Mistakes aren't easily taken when it's subzero/single digit temps. Nice pintail OK didn't get one this year. Slim picking up this way.

I've ate **** a couple times and it was nasty. Am in not a picky eater. With that said I've Keats wanted to get in a mess if ducks in a blind and do whatever they do in tv lol. I remember seein it on tv when I was a kid. That's the closest to duck huntin I've ever been. I hear you can melt ya barrel if you get in em good from shootin like mad.

Nice birds guys! I never did get a chance to go out because I was so focused on deer. I wasn't able to put one down this year so I spent every bit of free time I had in the deer woods. Deer season is over now and Late goose season goes from Jan 18- Feb 15, so I'm going to try to get out for that. Hopefully I will be able to!

Almost everything is FROZEN around here and with temps in the negative for two days everything WILL be locked up. Hoping the river starts cranking up!

Going to be around 8 degrees tomorrow morning. Everything is frozen up except my hot spring swamp. Time to break out the tennis racket.

Yeah yeah... If auto spell correct doesn't fix it then it doesn't get fixed.

What are you using one of those for? To place on the bottom of your feet? Cause I could have used a couple last week. We sunk in mud waste deep. That stuff is hard to get out of.

He means the birds will be all over that hot spring if it's the only open water. He will be able to use a tennis racket to kill them.

All the rivers have been frozen up and high around here (Potomac) and haven't been able to hunt ducks from my kayak. I did get out a few times for geese and limited out a couple days.

We've been really getting into them here lately. Hoping there's enough open waters for this big 2 day freeze we're about to have. If we lose the ducks season may be done here unless they bounce back again like they did in middle dec.

Our bow hunt ends in September. We may may do a few late cow elk hunts. It leaves us a few days to do a little duck hunting. I hope you don't mind me sharing some pictures from this years hunt.

We get a lot of pinners over are way. This time of year they are good looking birds. You got to be able to hunt with the mornings being in the single digits and warming up to the 20's. The picture of that last widgeon is what they call a storm widgeon not real common.

We get very few pin tails they are a trophy hear. That last wigeon looked like it had a little sprig on it. Cool looking bird for sure.
