I can't remember where I read it, but it said guys that shoot aluminum arrows usually use fixed blades. And with carbon they use mechanical. Why would that be. Thanks for reading
fixed blade and aluminum have been around longer? carbon and mechanical are newer? no idea, just my guess?
There's no technical reason for it. I use carbon arrows with fixed blade heads and feather fletching.
Me too:D well, technically i have aluminum arrows wrapped in carbon. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
Now? I would say its even. But 15+ years ago I would say you would generally find that the guys who shot aluminum arrows shot fixed blades and the guys who tried the newer carbon arrows also went with a newer technology broad head, as well. Those who depended on tried and true stuck with it. Those looking for a new edge went for the carbon/mechs. But now it's a hodgepodge because they both have been around a while.
You can really shoot any combination you want. I shot carbon with fixed, then moved to carbon with mechanical. It's more of a preference and what works best in your setup
another great internet factoid.... take any such information like it was a campaign promise- let's wait and see how it works out.
Dont read arcticles from wherever you read that...its bs. I shoot fixed blades and carbon arrows...who still shoots aluminum and why?
