As we get closer to heading back to school I was just wondering if there were any teachers on the forum that take out of state trips to hunt and if you do how do you swing it with school? From my experience alot of the big game archery seasons coincide with the first two months of the school year.
Not a teacher, but...some thoughts. Depending on the hunt species, weapon destination and your districts school dates... And draw/Licensing... Without time off: It would seem some states have seasons that may coincide before many school years (CA, AZ, AK, FL, part of HI, NV, OR, UT)-like July-Aug. TX has lots of non-native ranch hunts. Other states may have seasons that align to holiday breaks. Other options would be feral species. As a non-teacher/vacation: I save my PTO and take a week or two a year to hunt out west. And maybe some random long weekends in my home state.
You all usually have a long break in December into January. Maybe some late southern state rutting action...Texas. Louisiana...just some thoughts.
Im a teacher. But I don't get to take trips. no money, single father, holding the fort. Im thankful to get to my lease on the weekends. However, I do take 2-3 days off during the rut. Always a Friday so it feels like a trip
