My father in law just purchased 110 acre farm in Georgia back in the summer I did my homework as far as scouting and planting food plots me and a buddy have done a good bit of work we have three game cams out there with lots of pics of does and some decent bucks but our problem is we aren't seeing anything sitting in the stand we even missed the rut from not seeing anything during day light hrs of course got to love it we still have 70 something degree temps during the days can anyone give me some advice I'm hoping is just because of the warm temps still but we have a lot of deer on camera mostly during the night a small spike and a couple of does during daylight hrs in early October but of course we was at work thanks in advance

Unless your in north Georgia you shouldn't have missed the rut yet.

Ran the heat in October....riding around at night with the windows down in November. I'm in southern VA. Our rut has not started yet. Only suggestion is to hang in there. Good luck.

Rajela I hope I didn't but our dnr rut map said oct 20 thru the 26 I know that's a educated guess on dnr part but all of my buddies said bucks were chasing does and grunting so don't know just a guessing game around here

if the moon theories have any truth to them the peak rut would be the week following the full moon (October 27th). Are you guys hunting the same area often? Could it be you've over hunted the area? I"m very picky with my sits. I'll only hunt an area 2 days and leave it for 1.5 to 2 weeks. same with checking cameras. too much pressure will make deer go nocturnal. I have a feeling next week will be the prime time for the rut.
