Hey all! I'm back! Wondering if anyone has had success on opening day yesterday in wisconsin? I did not, but the day before I had 3 bucks cruise through my yard!
Not here. Had a small nubber buck walk in about 5:30 sat afternoon. Came to about 5ft from the ladder of my stand before walking into the small planting and eating for about 20 minutes. Did some walking today and found a spot I am going to throw in another stand. Along a main ATV path that is about 150 yards from a water hole that is getting good deer traffic. I hunt out of ground blinds, Homemade ones, I just prefer it better, I will be heading out at 5pm Tonight and hope for the best, gets dark at 7:30 here!
Saw 3 does this weekend, which was fantastic considering I saw about 8 deer total last year. Had my first experience getting "pinned " in the stand when a doe walked up and bedded as I was packing up at the end of shooting light.my trailcam showed 5 deer at my minerals in daylight on Friday, but it just didn't happen this weekend. Probably had something to do with that I am hunting on small property near residential area. Weekend people who have lake homes near me come up on the weekend and make lots of noise. Kinda sucked.
