My local shop said they are having problems getting things from Bowtech because they are so backed up. I ordered new Octane strings and cables for my Admiral 3 weeks ago and they still aren't in yet. The only reason i'm asking is because last time I ordered something from them I waited 3 weeks, called once a week hearing that the item was on it's way only to find out that they hadn't even ordered it yet. I love to shop local but i'm getting really aggravated.
I had trouble ordering a new bow from them through a local bow shop. In their defense, it was right around the annual gear show. I waited two weeks with no response from them. The shop owner said that poor customer service was bowtechs main downfall. It all worked out for me in the end when I found a used invasion in mint condition for much less than I was about to spend. Their loss. By the way, my local bowtech made me new strings that are awesome, and I got to pick the colors.
no, but iv heard of a few shops having problems with the pse xforce bows blowing up for some reason though?
Bowtech has been known for being hard to get and slow, but this point in the year they should not be backed up. On a different note, next time you need a set of threads take a look at Innerxcustombowstrings.com. We have fast turn around time, custom make them to your preferences, a 6mo warranty, and great prices.
Troll much? To the OP. Bowtech is always slow. Go with a custom set of strings instead. You will get them faster and have something of higher quality. I have heard nothing but good of the InnerX strings. I have only personally used Winners Choice. Great strings but they will run you quite a bit. Approx $100.
$100 is exactly what I paid for the Octane's... it's been over 3 weeks now so i'm really kicking myself.
I had Widow maker strings and cables made, installed and bow tuned in 2 days. Total charge $125. Check out the widow maker custom strings.
ok, so now it's been a month... so sick. i'm pretty sure he just couldn't order it until he had a minimum order, even though he told me he bought them directly from bowtech. if i'd have just bought them online, would've had them on 3 weeks ago. So mad.
Don't go to ebay..........go back to the dealer and let them know it's too long of a wait and you would like to order something he has instock or something one of his distributors has in stock. He can very likely find an Octane string in stock at one of his distributors anyhow....he doesn't have to buy that direct from BowTech. Besides, if you buy on ebay, who is going to install it and retune the bow for you?
The only reason i'm asking is because last time....... ___________________________________________ love me little, love me long!! http://www.mmolive.com/ http://www.mmohome.com/
Well... I didn't go to ebay nor did I go buy other ones. I went in and had a talk with the guy. He seemed to really want to keep mine and my wifes business (she's a customization addict). I just feel bad for the guy he's having a really tough time in this market. They don't keep anything in stock for a bow as old as mine, it's a 2009 Admiral, but he promised that it would be in either today or the first of the week. The only reason i'm so anxious to get it is my season opens in 30 days here in Oklahoma and I want to have time to have my bow tuned with this new string like I have it tuned with the old one. Sometimes I feel like I don't even have to aim, the arrow just goes home, lol. But if you see on Fox news on Wednesday about a buff bald guy going on a rampage in a pro shop in Oklahoma... you'll know I didn't get it.
The BowTech Insanity was pretty hard to get when it first came out. I put in the wait for a new one out of the box after shooting a demo a few dozen times, and dont regret it. It is the nicest bow I've shot and has a combination of the things I prefer in a bow. Ive waited for strings from them before too -a little longer than I'm used to, but the products have been solid. BowTech is definitely getting a little more popular, so maybe its taking a little longer. I started shooting one 5 years ago and just got my second one. They've come a long way for sure. Hopefully they'll get a little better at getting things out the door.
