I decided to transition from rifle to bow this year. What are some pointers for a noob? I am ground hunting and possibly hunting in a established pop up.i have a diamond outlaw, full metal jacket eastons, and rage hypodermic.

Best tip i got is practice practice practice and focus on forum. Everything builds off that. But as far as hunting know the range your comfortable with and stick to it. Seems the buck always walks by 10 yards past your range

^what he said^ Practice exactly like you will hunt. Practice in low light as well as daylight. If you decide to one day film your hunts, practice shooting while filming too. Good Hunting!

My first bow I bought from a big box store if not for my local bow shop trying to learn to shoot would have been difficult and frustrating. So a good bow shop helps a great deal

Enjoy yourself. It's not worth it if you dont. It's not about a monster buck.

If you can get a couple stands up as soon as possible. There are people that kill them from the ground and a blind surely helps, but getting up in a tree makes it a lot easier.

Read and learn all you can. There's articles that cover everything from hunting the wind to choosing stand locations. And when it does all come together don't hold out for a huge buck. It seemed like to me getting that first deer with my bow took some time, but after that first one it seemed a little easier. Good luck and have patients.
