    I shot a nice Jake last week and now I've really got the bug. I'll sit in the stand waiting on a Buck but if a Jake or a Tom comes by, game on:)

    I LOVE to turkey hunt!! And yes I will put an arrow through one if the opportunity arises. Saw a bearded hen last year from the stand but it was a little out of my range but I would have definitely shot it if it came closer.

    interesting. I've heard of them but never seen one.

    Do you hunt from a tree stand or the ground for them?

    During the spring Im on the ground but during archery Im in a tree stand and they're kinda secondary to the deer hunting but if one walks by I usually wont pass it up unless there is a lot of deer movement.

    Well turkeys are constantly moving and hard to predict in the spring because that is their mating time. The gobblers are looking for hens and are always on the move so you have to be mobile also.
