Been thinking about upgrading from my mathews outback. Just curious if anyone one else still shoots one, or if anyone used to shoot one and has upgraded. I love this bow, I bought it used about 6 or 7 years ago and the draw length is a inch long for me but i have adapted to it. Ive killed a lot of deer with this bow, and wondering if its really worth changing up bows. I love how quiet it is and dont want to loose that in a newer bow.

dont have a bunch of experience with the outback but I have shot one a couple times. wasnt the right draw for me, so i didnt spend much time with it. so with that said, all I really have to say is that if you're worried about a new bow not being as quiet as your 6-8 year old bow... you better go find yourself a new bow! they have come a long way in vibration dampening in the last 5 years. but if you're happy with what you have maybe there is no reason to switch it up?

I shot an Outback for years, and loved that bow. I kept it longer than I have ever kept any bow. I bought a Z7 a couple of years ago and have not regretted upgrading at all. If you want to get a newer bow go shoot a Z7 I think you will really like it.

I've been shooting an Outback for 9 years...has worked greated for me....I've upgraded the arow rest and sights once during that time...I expect to get a few more years out of it...no reason for me to upgrade at the moment...I'd rather spend my cash on other things I need for hunting

Thats how I kinda feel, every year I say im going to upgrade, but then I go shoot my outback and fall in love with again and shoot it another season. 1000 bucks is a lot of money for a new bow and im sure i will upgrade in the near future but there are other things I could spend it on to help my hunting.
