Please let me know. I'm new in the Fort Sill area. I'm thinking about taking up bowhunting with a recurve. I'm much more versed in hunting with and firing long guns. I was an expert rifleman in the army. I've only had a short course in junior high school archery with cheesy five-and-dime bows and target arrows. Never learned bow mastery in depth. I don't think I could ever hit the target terribly well. I don't like the look of compound bows and they are mechanically complex to boot. Like a classic bolt-action rifle, I think the traditional recurve bow to be the most elegant type.
