Man you had a good first year in Illinois!! Hope you find a great property to hunt! << Surley my reply has to be good luck to you, its my 10,000 post
I hope to continue to hunt what private land I have left to hunt and reestablish myself with the public land that is only minutes away.
Not bow related, but I need to end a two season drought on spring turkeys. For whatever reason, they know how to trick me... On the bowhunting front, learn more and get better than I was last year. Last season was the best season I ever had with tagging out in two states and killing my best bow buck ever. So this season, its more a matter of trying to take a bigger buck.
To keep it fun. Find the balance between hunting because I feel I "have" to and hunting because I "want" to.
Get frog slayer a deer for the first time with a bow. Myself also will be trying for a public land buck. I don't know right now when it comes to inches on a buck that I want. It will be one of those when he walks up if I want to shoot him or not. Good luck on your goals!
Goals for 2015 1. Buy some Todd Graf Big Buck Killer Goggles 2. Get my Face paint to look as bad *** as Justin Zarr's (maybe a demonstration on an episode of BHOD?) 3. Scout the Public Land that i blindly hunted last year 4. Kill a deer
This guy is the goal for 2015! Have literally 100s of trail pictures of him from velvet to Jan. Seen him 6-8 times and was so close one morning. Had him at 30 yards and couldn't get a shot.
My goal for 2015 is a Mature Buck on my in-laws place in southeast Minnesota (on film)... Houston County is wicked terrain but I feel like I've finally figured a few things out! BHOD!
