http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4073430 Looks like that Rich Rodriguez super spread is still a couple of years away if greg Paulus is going to be their QB
Dont laugh at it too hard. Paulus was the gatorade athlete of the year for football. The dude obviously has what it takes to be a QB in a big time system. Sure he will be a little rusty, but its just like riding a bike, it will come right back to him...
Hopefully you're right. I'd hate to see the guy struggle on the gridiron like he did on the hardwood. But, I'd say the odds are against him. Rarely does a freshmen QB come in and look completely in control so I have my doubts about what essentially is a freshmen QB who has not read a defensive scheme nor been hit in over 4 years.
What should be concerning for Michigan fans is the fact that they looked that way to begin with. I mean somewhere along the line in their recruiting process it came down to "hey how bout that guard from Duke that used to play football"? When the options come down to something like that it looks pretty bad IMO. Who they going to get to play tight end? Tyler Hansbrough? Is it just me or does Paulus look a little small to play QB at the collegiate level (or pro). Looks like one hit from a linebacker on a blitz would send him into a different world.
No smaller than Pat White... This probably wouldn't be such a bad idea. I bet he would make a badass tight end with a little coaching. I actually like the Hansbrough idea better than the Paulus idea. Just for clarification, I am in no way a Michigan fan.
