What does the average grass cutting company charge per acre?

Suppose I have a house on 1 acre want the grass cut and the trim done with a weedwhacker and the driveway and walkways blown off. What kinda bill am I looking at?

    1/2 acre?
    2acres?

If I am not mistaken, Trevor (TEmbry) has some experience.

I can tell you that they will probably charge about $35 an hour for mowing. Which is $25 for labor and $10 for equipment. However long it takes you to mow it now, just multiply by 35 should get you close. That's what they charge around here anyway.

I ran a lawn mower business the past two summers and worked it with my brother since I was twelve. I never really liked giving bids without seeing the lawn. The more weedeating and edging it had the more I would charge. I will say that most of the houses I did on about a 1 acre lot were usually somewhere around $75 depending on the weedeating and amount of pushmowing. This included weedeating, edging, bagging all clippings, and blowing clippings off of concrete. My advice would be to just call someone local and get a bid. Hope that was helpful in someway. Sorry I couldn't give you a more exact estimate.

i would agree with the previous statement... around here your looking at $70+ at the cheapest for acre and 40-50 1/2 or so.... many of the lots around here or just less than 1/2 acre and 40-50 is usually about the standard
