I am what one could call a knife enthusiast. Anyone else?

I used to be more of a knife enthusiast, but I only have about 30 or so. Most knife enthusiasts I know have a lot more. I've stopped collecting and actually started using them.

No. I tried to get into it. I got screwed(screwed myself) in a knife deal. As in overpaid by a lot. So after that I became really disinterested!

30 geez. I have a fillet knife which has cut more tags off clothing than its filleted fish. My hunting knife I overpaid for has some black crap on it and I really need to find someone to sharpen it. Other than that I have my leather which has cut fishing lines all the times I've snagged the line on muck!

I only have a few but I do carry one every day. I will probably pick up a new benchmade for my everyday carry.

you should take a look at some zero tolerance knives. They are made out of kershaw and they are made of s30v. I like my bench made but I love my zero tolerance

What benchmade and zero tolerance model do you have? I was looking at the barrage for BM. I will go take a look at them. I've never heard of them before but it sounds like they are pretty nice.

I have a benchmade 550hg sheepsfoot. griptillian with 154cm steel and a griptillian with s30v tango blade that was customized by my daughter for fathers day.

the zero tolerance is a 0350 with orange grips. If you do go that route I suggest kershawguy.com he has good prices

What kind of knife is it? Post pics? Also, if you want to pay shipping both ways, I can put a shaving edge on it.

I don't know, some collectors might scoff at 30, I guess it is quite a few. I should probably sell the ones that don't mean much to me. I have a few standard ones that I cary/use, the rest were just lookers.

See the gunk? Could It be that I tried sharpening it on my sharpening stone and some of whatever it's dipped in came down?

How do I tell if it's v sharpened or concave?

It's a scrap yard 5? S30v I believe is steel dipped in something
Lovely knife but it's not sharp and thus I'm turned off after paying 40% more than I should have.

Thinking about picking up a bench made for everyday carry too.

I have a buddy who has spent well over $10k in knives alone, and I still dont get it. Most of his knives arent even taken out of the box and I know of only 2 that he has actually used for their purpose.

Me, I like my caping knife and bush knife

I have 2 izulas, an ESEE 4 as my hunting knife, a junglas, and an ESEE 6. And that crocodile Dundee was one of my favorite movies ever.

Do you use your ESEE 6 as a utility knife? I've been wanting to get the 5 or 6 just not sure which one.
