Any Iowa guys seeing velvet or is it gone ?

Seen some smaller bucks that have had little hanging but checking cams today after the rain so will update you if I see any thing else.

 

got some cams pics here this morning and they all look like they've cleaned off.

I'll be moving to Tx in November, but am currently in Des Moines. Is anyone doing a urban hunt?

 

nope. have always thought about it, but the incentive to get the extra buck tag isnt worth my time. something like 10 does in urban zones ? does that sound right ?

 

My understanding is it depends where you hunt, but 4 does gives you a buck tag where I will be hunting in Southwoods park.. I'll take the meat.

Yeah, id take the meat too, but helping my fiance plan our wedding, while she is studying for her cpa, and working full time doesnt really leave me a lot of free time, might consider it next year after everything settles down. but right now i just dont have the time.

 

Has of my cam check on the 15th, the small bucks were polished, had one of my shooters half way done on the morning of the 15th. My other shooter buck was still holding as of the 1st, did not have any pictures of him after that.

 

I'm in Mason City area home town Osage. Sent in my picture of the nice 14 pointer I got this last nov. they got it up now I think.
