Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi. They all have big deer!
Mississippi is good, and I think Alabama is under rated. If that. further south than what you were thinking, Kentucky is top notch! There was an article in Petersons Bowhunting a few months back about the southern rut. It's a lot different timing than our rut here in the northern Midwest. I'd take a look at that article and figure out where the rut will be in full swing!
Check out Nickie Roth of Archery Outfitters. I have been on several of his hunts in Bainbridge, Ga that are very good. No frills at all. Just great land with a lot of deer, and Dec/Jan is when the rut is on down there.
