This is the first year we have pictures of him, I'm not very good at determining age in the summer but my guess is he's a pretty good looking 3 year old.

The second picture of him seems blurry so I reuploaded it again with another pic I found with a better look at his left side. Hard to guess on that, but he looks fairly young to me. Looks like a great deer with extreme potential.

Not enough to give you a real accurate judgement of score. He's a brute 8 by the looks of it. He's a shooter.

I think that mass carries him into the 160's easily.

Nobody here would pass him regardless of what they say

I agree, no way I could pass but if he's in the 160's as an 8pt at 3, then he could be a giant at 4 or 5.

Friend shot this public land 8 last year, think they rough green scored it in the 170's, think the beams were 27-28" and 16-17" G2's(?). Still at the taxi to my knowledge, I would think the one OP posted is equal to or greater than this one. Wish there was some better pictures.

If it came by me no way would I know what he'd become next year

he's defiantly young no more than 3-3.5 hard to guess his score with those pictures but I'd say 150's with his mass. Beautiful deer and I'd shoot him dead anyday of the week haha.

If I get a crack at him I'm going to take it, I've never shot a buck with my bow and he would be first with a bow and my personal best, I'll keep you guys posted if I'm able to take him for a ride in the back of the truck!

Both of those are brutes. To be a 170" main frame 8 is very very difficult. Run the numbers and see for yourself. The buck in the picture is a monster and congrats to that hunter, but I would be surprised to see him eclipse 150". The buck in the photo from the OP is probably somewhere around 145" or so. As an 8, that's a dandy. When you get the extra G measurments from the 10, 12, or 14 point bucks, that is when you can really rack up the inches.

    I get low to mid 160's going with 27" beams and 17" G2's, 33" mass, 17" spread 7" G3's and 3 1/2 & 2" G1's. I don't see the 170's but can understand an excited over measure

I'll try to text him and see if he has an official score.

Yeah, I basically used the same exact measurements. Except I used 28" MB, 18" spread and 5" for brows... all of which were overestimates and I got 159". Brute no matter the score.

He hasn't got it officially scored yet. Said he got a rough score in the 160's. He does have it back from the taxi, and after seeing it looks like the left side is smaller unless it's the angle.

Wouldn't be surprised to see it dip in the 150's with this pic

I also think he might be young and mid to upper 140's. I hope you get better pictures or shoot the deer.

The first issue is the distortion of the pictures...the body is distorted, so the rack is guranteed to be distorted.... it is no where near 160........ but it is a nice deer for sure... shoot what makes you happy

If he walked in front of my stand he would be as old as he's going to get. That's a he'll of a deer regardless of score or age.

Yeah sorry I uploaded from my phone not thinking about the quality. If I see him I'm going to shoot him I was just going back and forth with my buddy about what he might go and decided to try and get some input from people who have shot a few more wall hangers then me to get a more accurate guess.
