I just bought I pirogue for a really good price but it definitely needs some work before it can be taken out!! I've never really done any wood work so I figured this would be a great start! I have access to all tools needed as one of my friends dad owns a construction company and another owns a body shop. I plan on doing all the work by myself with a little help if needed but I don't even know where to begin or HOW to even begin. If you know anything that could help me out please let me know!!! I will post pictures once I figure out how using tapatalk so you can see what needs to be done. Thanks for any info!!

Sorry for the bad quality as it was getting dark! Hope you can still see! The wooden trip on top the fiber glass is rotted and peeling off and I'm not really sure how to fix that yet. Someone told me I need to buy the right length and width wood, wet it, and clamp it to the sides then screw it in? Not sure if that's correct so any advice is great!

Other than that, I will need to sand it down and paint it in the shop and it should be good unless anyone else notices anything else.
