Any Delaware Bowhunters?

Well, anyone out there hunt in the First State? If so where? I mainly hunt either Blackbird State Forest or Augustine Wildlife Area.

 

I hunted there a few times when i was a kid. I loved it down there. Not sure the towns i hunted...was pretty young...12-14

 

I hunt Blackbird, missed 3 doe this year so far. I also hunt Milford and my in-laws have land in Townsend.

 

Practice?? Season just opened.

I've been hitting the targets hard ever since.

 

Relatively new to bow hunting. My brother inlaw talked me into bringing out my dads old compound. On my first trip out in the townsend area I saw a deer from the stand. A little too far for a shot, and a little too much timber in the way. I look foward to bringing home my first deer though.

 

Well, my bro inlaw shot his first doe by way of bow this evening. Wish I was there to see it.

 

My buddy has gotten two deer so far this year.

 

Hoping todays heat wave will have deer on their feet! Still looking for my first.

I'm moving to DE soon. What is the best public land or do you know of any land leases? I'll be working in Dover.
