my d40 is eating batterys 2 1/2 days on 6 d-cells and a 2 gb sd card three sets of batts in two weeks and almost 39 pics each time. mostly just leaves moving. anyone have this problem??
Send it back. Moultrie has a great customer service. I had that issue before. Not sure what caused it but they sent me a brand new one.
I have 3 moultries and all of them will take hundreds of photos on one set of batteries ... sorry sounds like a defect.
I had 3 d40s, now I have 3 dead d40s. Everyone I know around here that had one had it die on them. And none of us could even get ahold of the customer service. I will never buy another Moultrie camera, sounds like Im a minority though
I beg to differ on their customer service, it's great! I had a D40 go bad on me (owned 7 of them, sold 4 of them so now I have 3) and sent it in 2 days before the warranty expired. They sent me a new d50 (d40 is discontinued) 3 weeks later.
A lot of people have said the customer service was good, so I guess I just got the short end of the stick? Oh well, I'm sticking with Primos
They are no longer in production, but that doesn't mean retailers aren't trying to get rid of them still. I would not pay $99 for a discontinued camera, besides I got all of mine for 59.99 on sale.
even at 59.99 you expect them to work right? I agree there, I got a bushnell for x-mas and i went online to see some reviews and the cam was listed as also discontinued. I put it out last month and it took 5 pics and then nothing batterys dead. I took a bushnell back last night i pulled yesterday it was full of water from a recent rain and killed 18.00 worth of lithium battery's it took 140 pics of almost nothing. does anyone think the people that make these cams even test them?
