So about 5 minutes ago i walked up on some deer heading to my stand and they took off. Any chance they'll come back? It's lightly raining and gusting wind about 12mph.

What if is like a well, its a deep subject. Were they in a hurry, were their tails up, did they look back? We'll need further details for any sort of analysis.

Hey, no worries. I had the same thing happen to me during the Missouri opener 11 days ago. If they don't bust out, you've got a shot at seeing them again. Hang tight, keep quiet, and if you have anything to spray for scent reduction, I'd do a little of that. Mine ended up coming back just under the tree cover where I couldn't get a shot 2 hours later.

From what I can tell they will probably be back at dark if not before that.

Are these farm deer? suburban? deep woods? public land? How often do they encounter humans? I agree that if you didn't see white tails or bounding leaps through the brush, then there is nothing to worry about. Besides, it's not like they're gonna tell everyone else you were there.

Suburban deer on a small property, they are only hunted by me and maybe a few other hunters, and encounter others probably pretty regularly. I like the way you put that haha

Ran two off on Sunday headed to my stand. They came back at dark. I kinda doubt they will be back this morning but ya never know.
