Hey guys and gals. I was just wondering how many people.have tried this? I recently just mowed off my turnips that I planted on aug 5 th. They got to be about 2 feet tall and huge, but had some weeds in them so I went in with my mower and just clipped the tops off. I've done this in the years pass. They grow back nicely and the weeds don't. Plus I've notice that the smell of.the turnips is unreal right after mowing. I mowed a small patch off and went home to get a camera, came back and there were 3 does in it eating like crazy only 15 minutes from the time I left with tractor. Thats amazing to me. Just thought I'd share that if any one has ever wondered. Now you do not want to mow your turnips/ radishes off if its hot out they don't like that. Wait til its cool temps with a chance of rain and its a perfect combination. Good luck this fall.
