Erie is the place to be for smallies and marble eyes!! Lake Michigan has some good smallies as well.

Point the truck towards the south part of state for the better fishing. If you have some time, keep on driving to the north end of Kentucky and Barkley. Also, Lake of the Ozarks is absolutely killer in the spring.

But that being said, my time fishing has dwindled considerably the last few years. I fished 1 tourney this year, but the boat doesn't see much water anymore. Then again, I don't get to see much stand time anymore either.

Ike will do well. He's done well on the tidal Delaware river, he's fished the Chesapeake a lot when he was younger, and he knows how to grind it out in really tough low weight tournaments. It's hard to call who's gonna win one of these things but I'd say he will at least put together a respectable finish.

A-Mart in the lead after day one, Skeet in 5th, Powroznik tied for 6th, our local feller Jason Christie rounding out the top 10 :tu: Evers in sitting in 11th.....be crazy if he pulled off 3 in a row :)

Gotta say I'm liking the leaderboard today

I really figured E2 would stay consistent....I knew it would be tough as I read on the blogs that Skeet fished the ENTIRE first day of practice without even getting a bite....Chris Zaldain fished the both days of practice with NO bites....holy balls I'd rather play golf. Lmao jk

don weddle jr says, go check check out my face book page@ Don Weddle JR or Donald Weddle Jr .com. I have bass fish since i was a kid. the trick to catching more than 4 bass a day? Is to mix it up . I will start out with crankbait -and -spinnerbait. look for deep water drop 12 ft .to 4 ft. I have found out that more bass even big ones .like this type of break. because of there escape route... I will only fish these patterns for 2 hours. next i will fish a jig or a worm. note not bitting fast moving baits slow down..remember bass are lazy and structure minded. I had my best year ever in 2011 . I caught 22-5 bass limits here in Indiana. that one summer night with a worm 5 bass in live well weighted at 16 lbs. hope this helped you go to my face book .a check out my videos i done for wal-mart also. bass wishes..

hi from P.Smash, sending you a reply ,check out my website pages Smash Enterprises LLC. I'm a part time airline mechanic, full time danger seeker. I have fished semi-pro for many year. have fished lakes (Tenkiller, Grand, Table Rock, Beaver, Fork, and many, MANY more) have also fished Gulf of Mexico ,Atlantic ocean. and lots of small lakes also. to catch more than 4 bass in one trip I have found many different techniques and patterns, and it's impossible to generalize one technique for any given body of water! Conditions, water clarity, season....all have a bearing on the method of catching fish. But thank you VERY much for your input I'll be sure to put that knowledge to use on my next outing!! P>S. Watch my videos on YouTube channel "Pimping with Smash"!!! bass wishes .Smash ;)

Found 2 cars on the detroit river with our lowrance side scan. Really cool how you can tell the distance the target is from the boat.

Couldn't believe that either. One of the sports best not making the cut on his home lake.
