Not doubting that info or your knowledge, just trying to help a guy with a 1/8th-1/2 acre plot and limited resources/equipment that is trying to establish a clover plot.
That's what sites like this are about...helping people by getting them good solid info. It's what hunting needs more of, people helping their fellow man.
And that's what I'm showing too. We'll see what mowing lower does. May fail and may thrive. Either way, lessoned learned for everyone seeing this thread. Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
Haha yup! Definitely won't change anything rest of the summer. I think with the size of the plot I might only do two timings. Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
Sounds like a plan. Do what you can with what you have. Thanks for the updates. Anymore ?'s drop me a PM.

looks good. You should see what I do with my lawn thatcher hey' Got beans growing good this year too in my lawn thatcher plot.
Well, after some contemplating over this past winter, I decided to take out the Mini Max plot and do a custom blend. The mini max looked great and seemed to work okay but wanted to try something different. Area that I expanded the plot before I started working on it. Same area. Old plot on back half. After clearing out the trees and branches that I wanted out of the way. After raking all of the stubble off of the plot. Weed growth. After chopping the entire plot area down. I did this three times before spraying. Here's a picture after spraying and raking off the dead matter. I raked a lot but also ran a small walk behind tiller over the whole thing just to break up a little soil for seed contact. First time ever using something other than solely a rake. Winter rye, winter wheat, 4010 peas and tillage radish. Planted 8/4/15 Plot on 8/18/15 Plot on 8/26/15 Pretty happy with the results so far and am looking forward to hunting it this fall. Haven't been back since the last picture so anxious to see how it looks.
I did. 30lb N and 30lb P at plant. Added another 30lb N at 3 weeks emergence. Have limed for years now and pH was 6.6.
When I expanded the plot, I decided to leave 1 small tree in the middle for the deer to use for scrapes/rubs. Glad I did. Moved a camera on it just to see if they come back.
