When you’re out of work for more than a month you can get really bored. I was at my desk this morning and looked at one of those letter openers that looks like a gut hook with the razor in it and I thought …humm. Later I went out to the shed and was looking around and I saw a piece of antler from a earlier project. I got the Dremmel tool out and went to work. I cut a kerf in it and inserted an old Muzzy blade in it, ground it to shape and tada a gut hook.

Side note: it is looking like I’ll have to go back to have my rotator cuff surgery redone, it might have come undone

Is that enough hook there Robert? I don't even use one but good thinking.

Now that sucks!! That could take you out for the whole season If that's the case wouldn't It?

Steve, the whole antler is about 5 inches long and the blade is a Muzzy so it's big enough.

The doc says it's too early to tell if the repair has been compromised. I'll wait and see how I progress or not.
