From my newly acquired Covert Red 40 stationed in Delaware County, OK (extreme northeastern OK). It has been in the field since 4.6.2013. It'll be nice to watch this guy (and others) develop over the summer.

Yup, that's Delaware County for sure. Fallen dead timber everywhere makes for a lot of fun on those windy days when you're trying to hunt lol. I live in Jay. Nice pics!

While in the stand on a very windy day last fall - probably should have stayed in bed - a HUGE dead white oak creaked & creaked & then eventually fell over with a CRASH about 150 yards from my stand. It was certainly unexpected and scared the hooey out of me!

I went to Jay schools k-12 and still have property south of Maysville, AR near the OK-AR border.

I've got a stud on my farm that already has 6-8 in browtines. I know what deer it is and he was 175 last year. Hopefully he keeps growing to hit 180+ . He's only four but I don't think I can pass him anymore. Game on.

That's sweet man. I don't have a trail cam to set out down here in southern RI yet. But hopefully soon I'll have a Covert snapping some shots.

On those mornings when you're half asleep, that will wake you up real quick! Sweet, I'm a sophomore here at the moment. When did you graduate?

This is my favorite time of year to watch the horns grow! It's amazing how the growth just explodes through may into June!
