I have always wanted to kill an Antelope Buck for a mount. Give me some advise in what States and areas are my best bet. Is there such a thing as Antelope on public lands that are successful areas to hunt?
Wyoming is full of them. Heck, I almost killed a dozen of them just driving through there last year! I wish I could give you some specifics, but if I were looking to do a DIY public land antelope hunt, that is the state I would start with. Call their DOW and see what they say. Typically the DOW officers try to be very helpful.
I have been on 3 trips with MILLER OUTFITTING out of Gillette Wyoming. As a few guys on this forum can attest to it was a great trip. (Greg/MO) (Rob/Pa). We all Kiled quality animals and hospitality was great. he has a web site. www.milleroutfitting.com and he is on facebook he has all his kill pics there. As for the Public land it is possible but from what I hear once you booger them out of an area they can be done for the trip. So you need as much land as possible. check out the Eastman website. those guys have tons of info they are all about DYI info. good luck
If you want to go outfitted, you'll be pressed to do better than Miller Outfitting. Top notch from start to finish. There is very ample possibilities for public land do it yourself hunts but by the time you add in everything you need to do, Miller Outfitting really isn't much more $ and more than worth the extra. IMO. Nothing is ever a guarantee but if you listen to Mr Miller, odds are definitely in your favor. Everyone in camp tagged out but then the weather turned sour and odds significantly went down. Weather/rain is everything. Video of Kill, Click ME: ;-) With Greg/ MO and Outfitter
Heck, I'd go to Miller's.....if I was looking for a sure thing (nothing wrong with that!). You might also want to check with iamyourhuckleberry. I'm pretty sure you can do a DIY hunt in CO for a LOT less $$. But, I wouldn't be expecting the "sure thing". Good luck.
